Hannah turned 7 and Andrew is 3 tomorrow.

I know I probably won't have time to blog tomorrow, so I thought I would do it a day early. It is hard to believe that Hannah is 7 and Andrew will be 3 tomorrow. It really does seem like yesterday that I was holding him for the first time at 12:20am all 9lbs 4oz, 23" long of my new son. It's even more remarkable that I remember every detail of Hannah and her 8lbs 12oz and 21" birth.

This is a picture of Hannah 4 and Andrew 3mos at the O'Brien family reunion in 2005. And then Hannah and Andrew at the fall festival.

Here's some pictures I have of them both from an easter egg hunt last weekend. I hope this finds you all well and sorry I don't have anything more profound to say. Except that I am on VACATION!!!! and LOVING IT!

Finally an Update

Well...I know...I should blog more..... :)
It just seems like yesterday...this was happening. Hannah held her brother for the first time in the hospital. and NOW...Hannah turned 7. I am just amazed at how much she has grown. She is doing very well in school and makes us proud every day. She is always trying her best in school (unlike her Mom, who always wanted to be in the BIG chair). She is a chatty cathy but when the teacher says quiet...she usually follows suit. Andrew will be 3 here in a little over a week. Just seems like yesterday, Mom was here and I was having gall bladder surgery. Wow...time sure does fly when we get older.
Matt has been going handy work for a senior citizens assisted living facility and a couple of Dialysis centers here in Perry. It's not a lot of money but it helps with the extras.

Life at work is good, things are slowing down...just need to get a few people to do their jobs. Arlene moved to PA on Tuesday. Our new store manager will not be here until the 7th of April.

The kids and I are going to Memphis on the 31st of March to visit Linda and the family.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Much Love

Debra

This weekends fun....

Matt and Hannah went to a Father Daughter Dance for Girl Scouts "Night at the Oscars". They had a good time. Hannah would not dance with her DAD but would go out there with her friends.

Andrew went to Aunt Sandy's house for a couple of hours while I finished the Commissary Tobacco inventory. Then Andrew and I had our own date at a local Mexican Restraunt for a going away for my General Manager. He leaves Wednesday for Germany.
Inventory has turned out good. As long as the numbers stay close to what they are we should be fine. My boss will be leaving Robins and moving the Carlisle Barracks PA. She will be the GM/MSM dual hat. We are excited for her to get her promotion. We found out who the replacement will be for Ms. Arlene. I have applied for a job in Okinawa. I hope to know something really soon.
I will be traveling to Beaufort, SC this weekend to visit a friend that is going through a pretty rough time. I hope I can be of some comfort for her even if it is just a distraction from what is going on.

Hope to be able to blog more often now that things have slowed down a bit. Have a Great day.

Work, Brownies, and Potty Training!

Sorry....it's been a while. We had a sickly Holiday. Stomach flu went from Hannah to Andrew to me in just 4 days. We were all sickly. But now we are coming down from the Holiday Hussle to the Inventory Crunch. Feels like the pace has not slowed down. Work is hectic as ever. Our new GM will be visiting town this week to try and find a home and learn about the area. Getting ready for inventory is a beast in itself and being that I am responsible for the inventory it is crazy.

Hannah has started selling her Girl Scout Cookies. She went door to door today and sold 25 boxes. She only had 2 people tell her no. She was very proud. Hannah received her report card and did very well. She only has two areas to work on. One is confidence in her reading. We are working on that. She is also working on a challenge for reading to be able to win a ticket to six flags.

Andrew is potty training. He has discovered that he can stand up to go tinkle. He loves it. Matt showed him how to sink stuff in the toilet and now that is the new favorite thing to do. He wore big boy undies today and did not have an accident. He is still going to wear pull ups at night and when we go out, but at home he is going to wear big boy underwear to learn to go potty. He is so cute and growing like a weed every day. Wish us Luck.

Christmas Cheer and Fun

We all went to Callaway Gardens to see the Christmas Lights in the Gardens. It was fun and exciting for the kids. It was quite cold so we decided not to ride the trolly but to drive our own van through the Gardens to see the lights.

Here's a few pictures of what we saw, we hope you enjoy. I'll try and blog again near Christmas. Lots of Love

Brownies, Christmas Dinner and Holiday Fun!

This week has been a fun filled week. Hannah graduated from Daisies to Brownies this week. She was so excited. She has to do 3 good deeds to be able to turn her Brownie pin right side up. Everyone that eats Girl Scout Cookies needs to think of Hannah and order. Oh my, the Girls Scouts are really serious about their cookies. I had to sign my life away in order for Hannah to sell them. The only reason is because in the past some parents took advantage of the cookie money and did not turn it in. Therefore, Girl Scouts wants to be able to recoup their money. Hannah's leader Linda told us that a Mom from her other troop did not turn in $900. I could not imagine someone doing that. Anyway....think Cookies....Call Hannah.

We also went to Hannah's Christmas dinner at her school. We had a good time visiting with Hannah and her classmates with some of their family members. Here's a picture of Hannah and Andrew that I think is adorable and another of Hannah being silly. Andrew says Sissy is Rudolph. Here's a video of Andrew having fun swinging around the pole waiting to eat lunch with sissy.

Matt got bit by the creative bug again and made some yard ornaments with the kids. They are very cute and we absolutely love them...especially the candy canes on the house.

Mom...hope you are feeling better and healing fast.
Lots of Love to all!

Weekly Update

I have finally felt a bit better with my back.
Hannah came home today feeling really good. She got an E on her spelling test which means she spelled all her words correctly. She is very proud of that large red E on her paper and we are proud of her!
Andrew is being a difficult one to potty train. He verbally tells you he does not want to wear underwear he wants his diapers. I am just not going to buy them anymore and he is going to have to learn to go on the potty. I don't know any other way to go accept cold turkey.
Matt is doing a side job for a Doctors office. He's filling up some holes in their dry wall and repainting. It allows him to get out of the house and a break from the kids. Especially since I have been working so much.
Well the holidays are almost over and then I am working just as hard getting ready for Inventory. My break will be in February.
Everyone have a great week and know that we all love you and pray for each of you daily.
Just a little bit of Andrew to brighten your day.
Love,
Debra
